Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting

December 4, 2012

 

 AJ Stoeser called the Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting to order with members David Neuharth , Lura Kirkpatrick, Dana Iversen and Pat Prince, Weed & Pest Supervisor present.  Board member Randy Yost was absent.  

 

David Neuhart made a motion to amend the minutes from the last meeting dated November 29, 2012 to include “that upon the issuance of abatement of the current enforcement, this will release the Stanley County Weed and Pest Board and supervisor of any liability and responsibility of this declaration of infestation”.  Lura Kirkpatrick seconded the motion.  Motion carried.

 

Old Business:   Stanley County Weed & Pest Board signed the Abatement of Declaration of Infestation on RE Turner CNN Cable News Network on legal description NE Quarter, Section 20, Township T4, Range R 29 E registered with Stanley County Register of Deeds.

 

Discussion was held on a Competitive Grant from South Dakota Dept of Agriculture.  Pat completed the Competitive Grant and submitted it to the South Dakota Dept of Agriculture.

 

David Neuhart gave Dana Iversen a copy of the Black Tailed Prairie Dog Management Plan for Bad River Ranches. 

 

New Business:  South Dakota Weed and Pest Conference is in Huron, SD February 20-22, 2013.  David Neuharth and Dana Iversen will go to the State Conference.  Dana will contact Gary Pribyl to let him know that David Neuharth has 20 years of service, 25 years of service for Dana Iversen, 6 years of service for Lura Kirkpatrick, 5 years of service for A.J. Stoeser, and 9 years of service for Pat Prince.

 

Weed Board discussed a replacement for Pat Prince, also discussed about wages for a new supervisor.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for December 20, 2012 after the County Commissioners meeting.
