Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting
August 7, 2012
Lura Kirkpatrick called the Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting to order with members Dana Iversen, David Neuharth (via phone) and Pat Prince, Weed & Pest Supervisor present. Mike Stenson, Ron Moehring and Darwin Kurtenbach – SD Dept of Agriculture, Tom Lefaive representative for R.E. Turner (Bad River Ranchs), Sid and Jeremy Pond and Doug Abraham (Lawyer) representing Regina Iversen were also present. Board members A.J Stoeser and Randy Yost were absent.
Agenda: Motion was made by David Neuharth and seconded by Dana Iversen to approve the agenda. Motion carried.
Minutes: Motion was made by Dana Iversen and seconded by David Neuharth to approve the minutes from the last meeting. Motion carried.
Old Business: David Neuharth made a motion if the two parties are willing to work together and to agree on a 60 day extension to the date of November 1, 2012 and that Bad River Ranches will have an initial proposal within two weeks to the Iversen Ranch by August 21, 2012, seconded by Dana Iversen. Motion carried.
New Business: None
Discussion: Sid Pond poisoned and eliminated all the prairie dogs on the Iversen Place and Pat Prince and Mike Stenson with Dept of Ag took photographs of the prairie dog town. Added 9-24-12
Motion was made by David Neuharth to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Dana Iversen. Motion carried.
