The special meeting of the Stanley County Commissioners was called to order at 8:04 a.m. by Chairman D.D. Jacobson with Jim Stoeser, Pat Sutley, Dennis Booth and David Neuharth.  Director of Equalization Don Wiedemer, Auditor Jennifer Krieger, Kristi Kroll, Chuck Humphrey and Barb McQuistion were also present.

MOTIONS:

AGENDA:   A motion by Neuharth, seconded by Stoeser to approve the agenda. All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion by Neuharth, seconded by Stoeser to approve Jennifer Krieger’s resignation.  All voted aye. Motion carried.

A motion by Neuharth, seconded by Stoeser to approve Kristi Kroll to fulfill the vacated term of the auditor.  All voted aye. Motion carried.

Judge Smith swore Kristi Kroll into office as auditor.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:  A motion by Stoeser seconded by Booth to go into executive session for personnel at 8:22 a.m. All voted aye.  Motion carried.  Came out at 9:17 a.m.

A motion by Sutley, seconded by Stoeser to set the auditor’s salary at $31,500 and to review the salary on March 1, 2011.

DISCUSSION:  Discussion on the fairgrounds to be addressed at the next meeting.  Discussion with Kroll regarding a laptop.  Kroll to get pricing and bring back to Commissioners at a later meeting.  Dave Schlosser began the Legislative Audit on September 14.  Law enforcement will be reported differently and Schlosser will put a budgetary comparison schedule in the audit.

ADJOURNMENT:   Motion by Sutley, seconded by Booth to adjourn at 9:28 a.m. until October 5, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. for the regular meeting. All voted aye. Motion carried.
