STANLEY COUNTY COMMISSION

MINUTES

JULY 24, 2014

 

The special meeting of the Stanley County Commission was called to order at 5:12 p.m. (CDT) by Chairman Brian Scott with Commissioners Scott Deal, Sonny Harrowa and Dana Iversen present. Commissioner Dennis Booth was absent. Others in attendance were State’s Attorney Tom P. Maher, Register of Deeds Beverly Stoeser, Treasurer Peggy Dougherty, Director of Equalization Ron Nagle, Fairgrounds Manager Brenton Crane, Highway Superintendent Kelly McCollam, and Deputy Auditor Philena Edwards. Meeting commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

AGENDA:  Motion by Harrowa, second by Deal to approve the Agenda.  All voted Yea.  Motion Carried.

 

Motion by Iversen, second by Deal to go into Executive Session for Personnel, SDCL 1-25-2(1) at 5:14 p.m. (CDT). All voted Yea. Motion Carried. 

 

Motion by Iversen, second by Harrowa to end Executive Session at 6:20 p.m. (CDT). All voted Yea. Motion Carried.

 

It was noticed by Iversen that at previous meeting discussions about fixing the concession area of the Schomer Barn was never put to a motion.

 

Motion by Deal, second by Iversen to fix the concession area of the Schomer Barn. All voted Yea. Motion Carried.

 

Motion by Iversen, second by Harrowa to reconvene into Executive Session for Personnel, SDCL 1-25-2(1) at 6:42 p.m. (CDT). All voted Yea. Motion carried.

 

Motion by Harrowa, second by Deal to end Executive Session at 7:00 p.m. (CDT). All voted Yea. Motion Carried

 

ADJOURN:   Motion by Harrowa, second by Deal to adjourn at 7:00 p.m. (CDT).  All voted Yea.  Motion Carried.
