  STANLEY COUNTY COMMISSION

MINUTES

APRIL 14, 2014

The special meeting of the Stanley County Commission was called to order at 4:45 p.m. (CDT) by Chairman Scott with Commissioners Dennis Booth, Scott Deal and Dana Iversen present.  Ronnie Heckenlaible was absent.  Auditor Karen Sharp was also present.  Meeting commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance.

GRAVEL CRUSHING:  Motion by Booth, second by Deal, to award Bob Bak Construction the gravel crushing for the Gertonson Pit from the 2013 bid, pursuant to SDCL 5-18A-22(3) for 30,000 ton at $4.23 per ton for a total of $126,900.00.  All Voted Yea.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Deal, second by Iversen, to award Bob Bak Construction the gravel crushing for the Buffalo Pit from the 2013 bid, pursuant to SDCL 5-18A-22(3) for 30,000 ton at $4.23 per ton for a total of $126,900.00.

HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT/WEED AND PEST SUPERVISOR:  Motion by Iversen, second by Deal, to hire Kelly McCollam as Highway Superintendent and Weed and Pest Supervisor at a salary of $55,000.00 beginning April 28, 2014, with a one-year probation period.  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

ADJOURN:  Motion by Booth, second by Dana, to adjourn at 4:55 a.m. (CDT).
